"Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back," reads the film's synopsis. USA TODAY'sBrian Truitt gave "Sinners" ★★★½ out of four, praising director Coogler for reinventing the horror movie genre with his signature stamp: "Add a double dose of Michael B. Jordan, a fabulous debut from Miles Caton, plus sex and gore, and Coogler's got something devilishly special," Truitt wrote. Warner Bros. did not specify an exact release time, butPrime Videonotes the the film is set to drop at 12 a.m. ET on June 3 (9 p.m. PT on June 2). Pre-orders are available on platforms such asPrime VideoandFandango at Homefor $24.99. "Sinners" does not yet have a release date for a subscription-based streaming platform, like Max (soon to beHBO Max). The 138-minute film released in theaters on April 18.
